![]() If you fancy a relaxing, luxury break in idyllic surroundings you will struggle to find somewhere better. The Spa and Gym area are well equipped (Gym has state of the art Technogym equipment) and there are a full range of treatments including specialist visiting therapists. There are a wide range of other cruises available. This ensured we could avoid the most crowded areas and also understand far more about the local features, as well as finding the best snorkelling places. Trips the long tail boat island cruise was excellent, particularly if you take the option of taking a guide. We did use the FOC mountain bikes to explore the island on a couple of occasions.but be warned it’s pretty warm and quite hilly in places. Various powered Watersports are available at extra cost, SUP’s and Kayaks are available to guests at no charge, I believe, although we didn’t partake. Hill Top also houses the main pool, although there is also a good sized private beach area. This hosts private breakfasts (bookable through your GEM) until 11 each morning after which it serves lunch followed by a range of different types of dinner: themed etc. The other dining area is the Hill Top Reserve. The former part is open until 11pm, so if the mood takes you. Living Room also hosts the ice cream parlour and bakery. There are various menu options for dinner at Living Room, including a special 4 Regions Thai curry night during our stay, a beach barbecue (sadly rained off for us). Living Room also does lunch and dinner lunch has a number of options, one of our favourites was to use the Deli for a sandwich, which came with a bowl of soup and a salad for a very reasonable price. The main restaurant (The Living Room) is where all take breakfast, unless you have organised your own ‘special’ of which there are a number, from in Villa options, special breakfasts at Hill Top and I’m sure several more. Chefs Table at the Dining Room is well worth the experience, however even the ‘standard’ daily fixed price menu is great. The dining is excellent wherever you eat. Additionally there are ‘his and hers’ basins and mirrors, a separate toilet, shower and closet as well as an outdoor shower. The Villa itself is well equipped, spacious, comfortable with a separate bathroom including a bath with the same view as the rest of the Villa. ![]() We had an Ocean View Villa, it had its own small pool, deep enough to ‘chill in’ and cool off, but you won’t be doing lengths! It also has a large outside seating area with veranda overlooking the Andaman Sea and the limestone islands. The ethos of Six Senses sense is less about service provider and customer, and more one of ‘host and guest’ as though you are being invited to their home and they do everything possible to make your stay a special one. Her advice on all aspects of our stay, from activities, trips and dining was exceptional. However I need not have worried, our GEM (Guest Experience Manager) was never intrusive, and managed to turn up ‘genie like’ just when needed. I was slightly nervous pre-arrival that the 'personal service' promised by the brand might be over the top for my tastes.I'm not a fan of high end personal butlers and the like. From arriving at Phuket Airport the experience was exceptional. We had been recommended the brand by a family friend and had decided on Yao Noi as it fitted in with our schedule. This was our first trip to a Six Senses resort. Additionally there are ‘his and hers’ basins and mirrors, a separate toilet, shower and closet as well.
